Great legal outcomes don't happen by accident. They happen when the right people, the right technology, and the right processes all work together.

Mark Tieman is an experienced employment attorney and legal-operations leader who helps Frontier Law Center deliver fast, thoughtful, and strategic results for workers across California.

As Director of Legal Operations, he oversees case investigation and evaluation, improves firm-wide execution, mentors attorneys and staff on complex issues, and leads the design and rollout of AI-driven systems that enhance productivity, accuracy, and consistency.

Frontier Law Center is recognized for integrating responsible AI into day-to-day legal work to strengthen case strategy and streamline litigation, and Mark plays a central role in that development.

Professional Experience

Before joining Frontier Law Center, Mark built a national practice advising law firms and small businesses on employment matters, translating complex real-world problems into clear and practical legal guidance.

From 2016 to 2018, he litigated at one of Philadelphia’s leading plaintiff-side employment firms, frequently appearing in federal court, briefing complex issues, and helping shape legal precedent.

His work included a successful DTSA whistleblower-immunity decision in Christian v. Lannett Co. (E.D. Pa. 2018).

More recently, in 2023–2024, Mark led the successful litigation of a sexual discrimination and harassment case against a political figure in Atlanta, Georgia, recovering over $900,000 for his client in Brock v. Fulton County.

Personal Perspective

Mark strongly believes that treating employees fairly leads to stronger organizations, bringing both empathy and rigorous legal analysis to every case.

Between 2018 and 2019, he faced a rare health condition that resulted in a below-knee amputation. After experiencing retaliation and discrimination when seeking workplace accommodations, the experience strengthened his resilience and deepened his commitment to advocating for workers.

Outside the Office

When he’s not advocating for employees, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors and supporting adaptive athlete organizations.
