I grew up watching how confusing the legal system can be for people just trying to be heard. Now I help make sure that, here, they are

Amber Shelgren is a Case Evaluation Assistant at Frontier Law Center, where she is often one of the first people a prospective client connects with when they reach out for help.

Amber’s path to this work began at home. Growing up in an immigrant family, she saw firsthand how overwhelming and difficult the legal system can be to navigate. That early experience grew into a passion for advocacy, problem-solving, and supporting people through the hardest moments of their lives.

Before joining Frontier Law Center, Amber worked as a Court Resource Navigator, helping people make sense of difficult situations and connecting them with resources that could genuinely change the direction of their lives. The work is the accomplishment she’s proudest of, and it shaped how she approaches every interaction today. It taught her the value of real empathy and of meeting people exactly where they are, which is precisely what someone needs when they first pick up the phone to ask whether they have a case.

Outside of work, Amber spends as much time as she can with her family, making memories over movie nights and board games. She recharges by running, gets lost in good fiction, and finds creative outlets through art whenever she can.
